Gareth Huws talks of the development of ship traffic in Holyhead from the late nineteenth to mid-twentieth century. ~ Creator: Ports, Past and Present ~ Date: June 2021Text
Gareth Huws sat down with Ports, Past and Present and discussed Holyhead's international connections at the end of the nineteenth century, which even included the establishment of a Portuguese consulate, and later developments which changed the port into a 'closed shop'.
Bu Gareth Huws yn sôn wrth Borthladdoedd, Ddoe a Heddiw, am gysylltiadau rhyngwladol Caergybi ar ddiwedd y bedwaredd ganrif ar bymtheg, a oedd hyd yn oed yn cynnwys sefydlu conswliaeth Bortiwgeaidd, ynghyd â newidiadau diweddarach a drawsnewidiodd y porthladd yn 'siop gaeëdig'.
